Peasant Food. It's The Best

And to top it all off- the perfect supper. Heuvos Rancheros. Refried homemade pintos, dos huevos from my hens, one string cheese shredded (the only cheese in the house) with pico de gallo (rooster's beak), or as they call it in Cozumel, ixnepec, (dog snout) made from tomatoes, jalapenos, garlic, onions, cilantro and lime juice.
With corn tortillas.

Si. Muy bueno.

And now I'm cleaning up and going to bed. I crave sleep like a sponge craves water.

Sweet dreams, my loves.

  1. I would say you must teach me how to make this, but I imagine you must tire of me always asking for how to cook this or that :)

    Sweet dreams

  4. I crave sleep, too. I can sleep for inordinate amounts of time. I sometimes cry when I have to get up.

Beans do not agree with me. I could not eat that dinner, despite how good it sounds.

    I am a GROUCH today.

  6. Yum.
I suspect I will be tired now for the remainder of my life. I wish I could say I was getting used to it, but it sucks, doesn't it?
There really is no rest for the weary.
