Lightnin' Fast Or At Least Much Better

The tech guy came and I sort of love him. He did this and he did that and although it looked like things were working, my computer was still SO slow online and then he looked into more things and well, he was here for over and hour and now, my internet, she is fast again.

In other words, he didn't just come and do the basics and say, "So sorry, oh well, better get that computer fixed."

He listened. He looked, he figured shit out.

Century Link. Just saying.

And the sun is trying to come out and I feel like maybe I'm getting a cold and it IS getting cold and well, I don't know. I just do not know.

But. I do know that people can care. I do know that people can do their jobs to the best of their abilities and I do know that just because someone is older and speaks with a very thick Alabama accent, it doesn't mean that he doesn't know his shit when it comes to high speed technology.

Century Link is lucky to have him, that guy. Whatever his name is.

And I am so lucky to have all of you.

  2. We have Century Link too and the guy they sent out when our computer wasn't hooking up to internet was a big old (age wise) hillbilly but he totally knew his stuff. He was at our house for about an hour or so and played with the kids and was teasing them (in a way old geezers pick on kids) and he said if I stay here just a few more minutes they won't make me go to any other houses today and I have plans to take off at (whatever time) to go fishing!

He was so excited about getting out on his boat in the middle of the lake and going fishing. So I let him stay and we talked computers and him working out in the field (outside) and making house calls and ......That Guy Knows His Stuff!

And, Ms. Moon, I've talked about you so much to my husband now that all I have to say is that Ms. Moon said this and he totally knows who I'm talking about. I don't need to lead in with the disclaimer "One of the blogs I follow..." anymore.

  3. Yeah and the same from me!

It's funny. My husband knows you well, too. I talk about what you're doing to my sister and to him and they both don't need an explanation.

Good service is excellent! I had some from Amazon.co.uk and from Kenwood the other day, but Belgian Kenwood was atrocious! And seeing the difference - it really matters and one makes you happy and the other miserable.

  4. Isn't it fabulous when someone actually does their J.O.B. and helps you out?!

We are lucky to have you, too =o)

  5. I like being able to talk to someone who knows their stuff, preferably from here and not outsourced overseas.

  8. Yeah!!! Sounds like a nice computer guy. Some of the techs are great at their job but lack people skills and personality. You got a gem.
