Be Careful What You Wish For

It rained all night. My electricity must have gone out at some point because my clock was flashing on and off, on and off.
I got up and got my trust Timex Expedition with the Indiglo and it told me what time it was.

It was early/late.

It's still raining this morning, coming in waves like labor pains. The wind whips up and drives branches and wind chimes into a frenzy and then it calms down again to just the constant rain falling.

Owen will be here soon. No walking about outside for us this morning. Just running in the house, climbing, munching food and playing with toys. And reading books. And playing peek-a-boo. And kissing. I hope he's in a kissing mood.

Kathleen left after oatmeal and tea to go home to her kids. Her dogs are her kids and she worries about them all night long when she's not with them. They worry about her too. She seemed to be feeling okay and I had a good time with her last night. I hope she's cuddled up now with Maggie and Harry and Bob and a few of the cats too.
I assume her chickens are still in their coop but with Kathleen...well, you never know.

The rain pours. The ground opens its dusty mouth and receives.

Good morning.

  7. It did that all last night at my house too and then when I took my grandson to school this morning the bottom dropped out. He loved it though because he got to use his Spongebob umbrella which is almost as cute as he is!

  8. Good morning Ms Moon. I wanted to write last night, after I read your Day post on my phone, but it's impossible to post from the phone. You helped me fall off to sleep better. I was worried about you and it was just nice to hear your voice and your day. Today I love seeing these rain images and your telling of the morning and the Owen anticipation. I'm glad Kathleen is home with her babies. Oh that pizza sent me into a frenzy. You sure do know how to cook. Wow. It was beautiful. Like you. Enjoy your inside time and the crazy rain.
We're supposed to get the same tonight.
