As Jessie Said, "Woah Dog"

It's raining and I am the most boring person in the world but I have this really cool picture I stole off of Facebook.

I think Greta is glad to have her boy back. Not so sure how August feels about it.

  1. That's a wild photo. My sisters and I, after a good bit of complaining or ranting about one thing or another, generally say, "I hear you barking, Big Dog" or "Little Dog." I imagine one day Jessie saying the same thing to August.

  2. Awww! Greta has that look in her eyes that dogs get when they have puppies. Ever faithful and ever watchful. Tell her I said she is a very good dog next time you see her. :-)

  6. Elizabeth- I love it! "I hear you barking, Big Dog." And yes, I can definitely hear Jessie saying that.

Birdie- I will. And I think you are right about that look.

NOLA- And Greta is a good dog although Jessie says that she's been a little naughty since they got back. Which is to be expected.

Angella- It's a good one, isn't it? And yes- August has so many people and places to love and enjoy. He IS a lucky little guy.

Joanne- Well, I think so but I am his grandmother. And having said that, I one of those weird people who think that all babies are adorable.
    Mostly.

  8. I have a photo my Mom took of my baby brother (who is now 55 years old!) and our dog Rascal that looks much like Gus and Greta. There's somethin' about a boy and his dog...I predict they'll be best friends!

  9. my daughter had an innate fear of dogs. when she was a toddler, a year or so we were at a friend's house and they had a big dog who was laying on the floor asleep and Sarah sort of fell over him, looked at that dog with big huge eyes and nearly climbed on top of me. she was that way about all dogs even if they were halfway down the street. people would try to tell her their dogs was OK, gentle. she did not care. it was a dog and she didn't want to be anywhere near it. she was that way until we got a boxer puppy for her brother when she was 13. so she learned to tolerate dogs if not love them. now, her husband loves dogs and was always bringing home strays. they have a big old goofy pit bull now that always wants to be in her lap. she just shoves him over.
