I Wish I Knew

Who half the people I am supposedly "friends" with on Facebook are.
I mean, seriously. I have NO idea.
I find this hysterical.

  1. Yes, yes, yes. That is only one of the reasons I hate facebook. None of it makes any sense to me. What the hell is it for? I never can even figure out where on the page to look. Sigh. Now Blogs I understand!
    Love you, Mer.

  2. One of my boring post-op days, I took my pitifully small list of facebook friends and pruned it by half. My rule was if I didn't want to talk to them on the phone or in person in the near future, they were off the list. It felt good. I think they should be called faces, not friends. Or voyeurs.

If they are amusing you, then they are worth keeping, right?

  3. I'm with Lo on this. Facebook makes no sense to me. I tried to have a page just to keep up with family but somehow it gets so perverted and evidently you aren't supposed to say no to someone who wants to "friend" you.

  4. Nicol- It's so stupid.

    SJ- Of course.

Lo- I have no idea what it's for. I rarely ever post anything on it.

Mel- If I pruned using that as my criteria, I'd have about three friends. Which would be fine.

Rubye Jack- I, too, have had that realization.

  5. Looks like you have some "unfriending" to do... I use it to have a little bit of sight in my sons life in Belgium... But I think I could easily live without it... I like blogs more... And I am totally not interested in playing games or knowing where someone is from day to day... Or what shoes they bought... ;o))

  7. Do you "know" me? I think you're my only FB friend whom I've not met in person, though it feels like we have. No, that's not true - a few others friended me that way but I interrogated them as to who they are and why (usually friends of friends that I would meet in person if I'd just stay still). Sometimes we meet and it has always been wonderful.

  8. I am glad not to do FB. I have about six friends that are true.
