I am decidedly unwordy today. I've had my walk which makes fifteen walks in fifteen week days and I'm glad of that. I know I am feeling better (except for the fact that I am crippled, you know) and sleeping better and between the walks and the EAHAS I've lost a few pounds.
I did actually stop and break privacy and speak to the man in the red truck today. I hadn't seen his across-the-street-neighbor whom I think is his sister, Ms. Liola, in a long time. I asked him if she was out of town. No, he told me. She just has her ups and downs and she's been staying in lately.
This makes me sad. She's a sweet lady and we always talk about our grandkids when we have our little chats.
Anyway, the man in the red truck and I talked about exercise and how much we hate it but that we must do it and he gets out and walks some. We discussed the mosquitoes and how horrible they've been and how we can't get out and work in our yards because of them and he said his cats are tormented by them too. It was a friendly chat and I moved on down the road for my last few hundred yards.
Speaking of cats, a Siamese cat whom I have never seen before was on my back steps this morning. As soon as I saw her, she darted off under the house. I told Mr. Moon about her. "Siamese," I kept saying. "Unless I'm hallucinating," which reminded me of my mother.
Well. Really, that's about it here in Lloyd. Mr. Moon is slowly making his way to depart for Georgia to his hunting camp to set up stands although he doesn't seem too excited about it. The weather doesn't look too good but he wants to get started getting ready for this fall. This means that I'll be eating salmon for dinner tonight which is one of my favorites but definitely not his.
And truly, that is it.
I'm going into town soon to go see Moonrise Kingdom. I'll believe it when I see it. So to speak.
It's Friday. I hope y'all are having a good one. I really do.
Love...Ms. Moon
I am going tomorrow, by myself, I think. I dont know why but I feel like seeing it alone.
ReplyDeleteI have the weirds today. Not the mads or sads. For that, I'm grateful.
sit by the exit
ReplyDeleteI'm proud of you for the walking -- and I can't wait to hear what you think of Moonrise Kingdom.
ReplyDeleteHave you seen Get Low?
ReplyDeleteTell us how it is. I haven't wanted to see any movies since Marigold Hotel which we liked.
ReplyDeleteSJ- It changes, doesn't it?
ReplyDeleteMagnum- Gotcha.
Elizabeth- As to the walking- something just happens inside of me and I do it. I can hardly take credit. As to Moonrise Kingdom- well. You know by now.
Pamela- NO! And I have no idea why. God. I need to see that movie.
Syd- Yes. I say yes about it. Go see it.
Ms. Moon,
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine told me about GET LOW, and I can assure you that you're going to love it. Duvall. Murray. Spacek. Divine trio. When Sissy Spacek as Mattie talks about her lost love, and says, "He was beautiful," and "He was the deepest man I ever knew, I lost it. Completely.
I hope one day to feel like that about someone in the present tense.
XOXOXO.
Pamela- And if there is anyone I love more than Bill Murray, it is Robert Duvall.
ReplyDeleteAnd Sissy Spacek? We are one degree of separation. Okay. I gotta watch it.
Thanks, baby.
