Some days are best described as hibernation.
Alive but drowsing, removed from the world as it moves on outside the cave in which one sleeps.
And dreams.
I told my husband tonight that I apologize for these days in which I seem to go so far away. That ironically, it is exactly those days which I probably appreciate his strong, sturdy presence the most, even as I am silent, keeping mostly to myself.
He said he knows. He said he's here.
My god. This man. Thirty-two years on and I am still in wonder.
This is love. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThat they know our craziness and love us anyway. And THAT is what it's all about!
