I think you look marvelous and hope you had a great time with your SILaw. I can't wait to see mine this summer. I didn't get a chance yesterday to add my thoughts to your post about your mom but wanted to say I understand it a lot and thank you for sharing. I've experienced the "gas lighting" too, for that is what it is called when someone discredits your reality or says it never happened. The other day I read Darrell Hammond's autobiography (he was on SNL for 14 years)and thought of you. He grew up near Vero and he ended up blocking out many memories of his childhood and then unfortunately lived a destructive life and a therapist finally encouraged him to address the memories. Then he addressed his mom and dad and she said it never happened. Cheers to your loving husband and his family and to what you have created. --Michele R.
My parents, now retired, have picked up a second career of buying/selling jewelry in various flea markets or road shows or whatever around the country. They drift around to mostly Arizona and Florida, and then come back home and sell what they buy at cheap prices.
Anyway, they've picked up a wide breadth and depth of knowledge about jewelry, and their favorite by far is silver.
My mother gave me a whole set of solid silver utensils and told me to use them all the time, because silver has medicinal healing elements. I have no idea if this is true, or how much of this is more her mama-instinct kicking in to protect me from afar in any way. But given how you've been feeling lately, I'd say gravitating toward silver is a healing element for you for sure :)
You have a gorgeous mouth. I envy you mine is tight and closed and very often twisted like this ~ I love silver more than gold. My wedding band was gold and I broke out in a terrible rash 3 days after my wedding where the ring was. Hahahaha! Do you think it was all my dainty skin?
I love your face. I'm sending you something in the mail today if it doesn't rain. When it rains my mailbox fills with water. I love you.
