The Birds Are Bigger Here

Here we are and it is fine here. Gray and foggy, mysterious on the estuary and the river, the old town of Apalachicola rising up through the mist, the pelicans sitting like statuary on the dock posts.

This hotel is a bit...off...somehow but we're in a suite bigger than many houses I've lived in and I wander around wondering where I left my coffee cup. Which is nice. I don't have to clean it.

And mostly it's about us and we're having a wonderful time. We always do when we travel. We travel well together. I am so grateful for that.

Anyway, we're going to see if anyone in town will give two late-rising sluggards some bacon. I think someone will.

Just reporting in. Just saying here we are. Just saying all is very, very well.

  1. I like the quaint little town. I stayed in an old hotel there several years ago. Enjoy your time there.

  3. When I woke this morning, I lay in bed and wondered whether you were going to post something this morning and whether you even brought a computer with you on vacation. And here you are. I hope you have a terrific day --
