Oh my, delicious decadance. I hope Danielle will share. Mama mia... drooling. If he gets that just for asking "what is this cobbler you speak of?" I've got a few food questions for you.
it looks totally delicious..from a fa like granola with vanilla ice cream..hehe*...but up close you can see its something different..i totally would eat it..especially because i LOVE pecan nuts...
ps: there is a for danielle-post at ms moons blogg!!
Oh soul lady, now you have me all confused. :) That's what I would call a crunch or maybe a crisp. To me a cobbler is more like a buckle, with flour/milk/eggs no nuts.
Ah, the myriad mysteries of desserts! And the gloriousness of different designations manifesting our cultural diversity. and the best of all is how yummy it is, whatever it's called. ;)
Well, I'd be almost embarrassed too if I'd opted for whip cream over ice cream on this work of art!!! That's along the lines of putting ketchup on a fillet! MSP? haha!
You know I'm doggin ya right? It's beautiful and I want it. All of it! xo pf PS What the hell is up with this crazy weather? I had my air on two nights ago because we were simply melting... now it's rainy and FREEZING!!
Are you saying you whipped the cream yourself? That sounds like fun. Could I use my kitchenaid stand mixer w/the beater attachment for that? Or do you have a special contraption?
Stephanie - I also whip cream by hand with a wire whisk or just a regular hand beater. However, I have a tendency to make butter if I'm not careful, so by hand is better for me. And trust me, once you have the real stuff, you'll never want to go back to the fake! (I do add a little sugar, but not too much)
Mama- you read my mind. Yes, I do believe that is technically a crisp, but that is what I meant when I said Danielle should go to Dog Island to write his masterwork and we should make a cobbler. I thought of it because one year on my birthday the whole dang family went to Dog Island WITHOUT ME (both sets of parents and sibs) and I hitched a ride and surprised them. And Mama made me that very delicious dessert that is even better than it looks and it tasted so good on a stolen hitch-a-ride birthday on an island under the stars.
May- My Lord, but I remember that. ALL those people in that little bitty house. But it was fun! And really, the only decadent damn thing about this dessert is the whipped cream. And it's yummy, especially under the stars on an island. Amen, sweetheart.

Bethany- Ask away!
ReplyDeleteSwallowtail- It was good.
Technogram- Embarrassed because it is so decadent. I suppose.
Grasshopper- Okay.
Danielle- Glad I could make you do the happy dance.
Daddy X- Oh, it was.
Ms. Fleur- Not if you whipped the cream with sugar and vanilla yourself. Weather? Ah...Florida.
Lois- It wasn't bad.
ReplyDeleteNola- You're right. Probably more of a crisp. A rose is a rose, right?
Are you saying you whipped the cream yourself? That sounds like fun. Could I use my kitchenaid stand mixer w/the beater attachment for that? Or do you have a special contraption?
ReplyDeleteStephanie- Didn't you get a wire whisk attachment with your Kitchen Aid? That's what I used.
