Breaking Does Not Always Mean Broken

The baby boy is better and Jessie and Vergil are on the road and the walk has been taken and now I am going to take the dogs to the groomer and then go to town so that I can have more than one cup of coffee in the morning and then to go see Lily and the boys.

Another day. On my walk I could feel the heat rising by the moment, literally rising in waves from the wet, steamy ground and I know that summer continues although I also know it will break, eventually, just as Gibson's fever broke in the night.

There. There is a picture Mr. Moon sent me which he took last night. It is of dolphins in the bay right behind where our house will be in Apalachicola. He said they were a foot away from the boat and that they followed them for quite some time.

The dolphins break the water, the baby's fever breaks, the summer's heat will break, we continue on, we do not break, usually, we are stronger than anyone, especially our own selves, knows.

  4. I love reading your posts. And learning of new places with amazing names. Apalachicola, in this case. And I'm happy the fever broke.

  5. <3 dolphins. They swam in front of our boat in Alaska. And you're going to live where they are.

    Honey, you're strong as shit.

  8. Lisa- I swear. Labor Day is just weird.

Elizabeth- Yes. I know. Which is sometimes true. And sometimes, it just ain't.

gradydoctor- So are you, baby. So are you.

Andrea- Isn't "Apalachicola" a beautiful word? Indian, of course. Thanks for commenting.

Beth- We have a lot of dolphins here and although I have probably seen them hundreds of times, the experience has not lost one tiny bit of its magic. Ever. They are something special on this planet and that's all there is to it.

Wayne- Honey, you just need to come over here to Florida. You'll see dolphins. Oh yes you will.

Brother Ball- Yep. Well, we're not building it yet but Glen and I have had lots on the bay in Apalach for at least twenty years where we ARE GOING TO BUILD OUR RETIREMENT HOME, DAMMIT!!!!
    I swear.
You rock on too, Author Man.

Nicol- Not too shabby, huh? Dolphins out the back door.
