Grace-Full

Last night we parked right down the block from a church which had an electronic marquee. I could not help but take a few pictures of the messages being displayed.

Well, I'm pretty sure I don't need crack OR Christ but I do need grace. Don't we all? And some of us do need grass in one form or another if you use the term loosely.

Anyway, I'm just glad that I'm not in church this morning but have things like this to see.

And these sweetlings to check on.

We made the executive decision to throw the rest of the eggs out. Quite frankly, they stunk (stank?) and were drawing giant big flies. So. Three babies. One fine mother.
I have talked to my neighbor and her husband is ill so I do not think she has time to fuss with babies right now. I will be surrogate grandmother gladly.

It is a beautiful day and I plan on working outside in the garden and in the chicken coop, cleaning things up in there for the day when the babies can run around in it.

Grace. Yes.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. Those billboard thingies are wonderful. So much entertainment, and presumably they provide the people who earnestly agree with much righteous agreement too, so happy all round :)

    Lil chickies. Sweetest things.

  3. Hello greetings and good wishes.

Very interesting messages on the electronic marquee.

Christ and grace signifies a wonderful life on earth and everlasting happiness in the next life.

    Lovely photos.

    Best wishes

  4. I'm currently at school to become a priest, so I read a lot about faith, religion, etc... and yet, your writing seems to verge on the sacred more often than any of them. Thanks for that gift, even if it isn't intentional!

  5. Jo- It kills me how "cute" these sayings always are. Clever and cute. Gag.
    Aren't the biddies darling?

Joseph Pulikotil- Well, I do not believe in the Christ story of only-through-him-can-there-be-salvation and am not sure I believe in an afterlife either but I certainly feel grace all around me.
    Thanks for coming by!

Anonymous- Thank YOU! If you see the sacred in my writing perhaps it is because I do not see the line between every-day life and what so many call "religious". In a way, it is a very intentional thing that I do because the sacred calls to me whether I am talking about chickens or children, dirt or love.

  6. I love that the billboard on the church is electronic. And I'd love to actually meet someone who saw it while on crack and stopped inside. Oy.

Those chicks and that hen are so cute that it makes me want to go out and get some myself.

  7. Elizabeth- Yeah. That's a "thing" here. The electronic sign.
You should definitely get chickens. Oliver would be the best chicken keeper in the world!

  8. Am I the only one that doesn't like that sign? Could the money not have been spent on something better? *sigh* It is that time of the month and I have cramps and a headache so maybe I would think differently on a different day.

    We do need grace though.

  9. Birdie- I think the sign is absurd! And sort of really tacky, too.

  11. It makes me sad about the little yellow one being killed. What a sweet looking little baby.
