And The Hens Say, "Here. Have An Egg."

I can't get moving today. The broom and dustpan are in the hallway as a reminder to me as if I needed one. I took the trash and recycle and went to the post office but the thought of a walk seems as absurd as the idea of flying to the moon and taking a walk there.

I feel as if I've been pummeled by life and by death.

Maurice says, "It's okay, mama. It's okay."

  2. Yes, exhausting. Let yourself float today, Mary Moon. The work will still be there tomorrow.

  3. which is why I have passed the torch on large family gatherings to the next generation...even if everyone helps it is still a lot of work.

  5. I remember that line from the Most Exotic Marigold Hotel--"It will be okay in the end. And if it's not okay, then it's not the end."

  6. I feel kinda blah today, too. Cloudy, breezy, a sprinkle of rain. I had plans to pull weeds and spread some seeds, but I feel I should be in a better frame of mind to spread what will soon be pretty. Does that even make sense??? Instead of that I'm ironing today. I hate to iron, and I've got all our clothes from our Florida trip....so why not iron? I can take out my frustrations, throw myself a little pity party because it's been a crappy few days, and watch mindless judge shows while I'm doing it. My saving grace may be the pot of soup on the stove...but maybe not. I agree with Maurice...it's alright Mama!

  7. OMG. I love Syd's quote. I need to stitch that onto a towel.

And if it is not OK try having a nap.

  8. I'm going to watch Most Exotic Marigold Hotel now, sure that I'll love anything with a line like that.

Maurice is wonderful. So are you.

We ebb and flow. We are tides.

    I'm ok with that.

  10. I'm so sorry about Elvis; and also sorry for being late to say so.
Maurice is right, or so my herd of cats tell me. It will be alright, one day, even if today is not that day. The hou do just look at me adoringly, and say "love, LOVE you". At least, I think that's what they are saying. It could, of course, be "feed me".
Spring showed her face yesterday,,when for two whole hours, the temperature was above zero. Today, however, She stuck out her tongue and flicked her fingers, and gave me six inches of snow. Fickle b*tch.
I dream of one day being able to plant a camellia...!
