Greens And Goodness

Feels good. I got most everything weeded I wanted to weed and did a little fertilizing and then watered it all in. I expect my garden to leap to attention now! Uh-huh. Sure.
Anyway, what a gorgeous, beautiful day and I made some nice bread and took Kathleen and Bug half of that vat of soup I made and a nice lovely loaf of bread and we got to visit a little bit. I think that visits with Kathleen need to be short ones now. She tires easily and after Thanksgiving, I think she is a bit tireder than usual.
She will rally again though. I feel certain she will. That is the way she is. Indomitable spirit and true grace and goodness.
And a wicked sense of humor.

So. I got to see two ladies today whom I love forever and that makes it a most special day and here's a picture of Lisa and me and I surely would like to know just how I got this old.
I guess because I've just kept on living.

Ain't she precious? I've known her since she was a child.
We call her Lisa-Lisa-Redheaded-Lisa-Whom-We-Adore.

Pretty much sums it up.

Time to make supper.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. I wish I could stop by for soup and some coffee! You know I'd be there every other day.

How's Maurice liking Ashley? Or have they met yet?

  2. Mary, I love your face. I see your open child face in your beautiful smile. There is love in that picture of you and Lisa for sure.

  3. There's nothing like a friend who brings you homemade soup and a loaf of bread. Feeds the body and the soul.

  4. SJ- They're a little spitty, Maurice and Ashley. I am glad that Lily is taking her because I don't want Maurice to think that we do not love her. You know. I wish you could stop by for soup and coffee too, baby!

Angella- She is one of my dearest loves. When I see her, a part of my heart breaks open and is so happy.

  5. Good Lord! That garden. Hard to imagine the beautiful you in that picture on your knees in the dirt!

  6. Dang, I love that picture of you two spicy and lovely women.

  7. Bella Rum- Toast made with home made bread seems to be easier to eat than almost anything else.

Elizabeth- Lisa is certainly a beauty! She's a yoga teacher/mama/beautiful person.

Denise- And yet, there I am so very often. Happily so.

Ms. Vesuvius- Isn't Lisa just a glorious human?

  8. I bet Kathleen loved the soup almost as much as she loved having you visit.

Your garden is enviable, to say the least.

You are not as old as you think you are, and you look great, so does Lisa-Lisa. Your black overalls are enviable too.

I love the last line, because I love watching the light shift too.

I'm doing ok, and so glad you are too. xo

  9. Your garden looks amazing. Especially compared to ours, which is basically just a sea of mud at this time of year.

  10. OK, the funniest thing just happened. I typed that comment above but I didn't get a CAPTCHA image to copy into the "prove you're not a robot" box, so I just made up a number. And it WORKED. Which proves that these CAPTCHA things are ridiculous.

  11. I hope that Kathleen feels stronger. Your soup seems to be helping. She writes about your food and how good it is.

Glad that your garden is doing well. Ours looks groomed now--finally.

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
