Jessie and Vergil are here and supper is ready and the men are in the middle of plumbing and stuff and electricity and stuff and there's roast chicken and tomato pie and tomorrow I get to see my boys and I have missed them so.
It rained good and hard today.
And I ordered two simmer mat diffusers online because Lis had one that her sweet sister-in-law gave her and I realized that I need not one, but two. As Lis would say, "It's going to change me life."
Love...Ms. Moon
It looks delicious. Gail
ReplyDeleteI had to look up what a simmer mat is. Now I want one!
ReplyDeleteI had to look it up too. But what struck me is the tomato pie. Yum!!
ReplyDeleteI had to look it up, too. That sounds like some advanced cooking going on there.
ReplyDeleteSo happy to read this post! Been needing diffusers for a while and didn't know these existed. My gas stove will not simmer slowly (for jam and stuff) even on the slowest burner. You should get a commission!! Thanks.
ReplyDeleteme also, had to look it up but I'll pass since I don't do the cooking around here and the cook gets testy if I make any kind of comment or recommendation.
ReplyDeleteGail- Oh, it was good!
ReplyDeleteBirdie- We all need one or two, I think.
Betsy- I'm perfecting that bitch. I swear.
Mwa- Well, some things just need to be simmered at a very low heat. I'm really excited about this.
Shelagh- Glad to spread the word!
Ellen Abbott- Then no, you probably need not say a word.
It does sound good! But maybe I need a slow cooker instead. I don't know.
ReplyDeleteMmmm....tomato pie. It looks yummy.
ReplyDeleteI had never heard of a dimmer mat as well. Your dinner looked yummy! I have tummy grumbles now.
ReplyDeleteSimmer mat, of course! It's probably my brain that's dimmer 😉
ReplyDeletesimmer mat difuser?
ReplyDeleteLater, I gotta google that.
Tomato pie!
ReplyDeleteYou should write a cookbook. Yum!
