You know what I just decided?

1. My day, as fascinating as it was to me (I BOUGHT A NEW DISH DRAINER! I KNOW! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?!), is really not that interesting.

2. I would order a bathing suit online. Not just any bathing suit. I got to thinking about a bathing suit I owned and loved once. It looked like this:

I wore that thing until the elastic was a long-lost dream. It was made by the Esther Williams bathing suit company. So I looked them up and there they were and you can still buy the suit and I ordered one in black. I should have gotten red again.

Anyway, there you go.

It's been a good day. And I've sort of been wanting to share this because it blew my mind.

I have no words.

Which is probably a good thing.

  1. You might buy a red one, too. The black one will be on the clothes line from time to time.
I don't know about the ape. I just don't know.

  2. Okay, I just had another "gorilla episode!" I love apes more than some people!

The bathing suit? Looks almost exactly like the one I just got except mine has a kicky little skirt on the bottoms.

    It's like we are one.

  3. OMG! That video was amazing. I love how he is roasting 5 at a time.

  4. Like the suit. Will tell my wife about the brand as she prefers the one piece to bikinis now.

  5. Is that video really real?

  6. I love all of this. I love the red suit but would have gotten black too. Or blue. And that ape. I always wanted a little monkey pet. I bet it is real. I have seen so many animal videos recently - give me children and animals and my bed and I would be set I think, thank you for sharing. Sweet Jo

  7. Joanne- I have a spare bathing suit which will do.

Heartinhand- Both of us extremely classy dames. Right?

    Birdie- Why waste time?

Syd- I hope they're still the same quality as they were.

    Elizabeth- BBC? Supposedly?

Sweet Jo- Some days I just want the bed. Period. And a book.

  8. good job on the bathing suit. I'm still pondering though I know what I want.

  9. I had a bathing suit much like that by Esther Williams too. It was white with silver squarish dots. It was in 1992 and I wad 17 and fancied myself some early 60's screen siren. I think I might order one too!

  10. Yes! I bought one just like that at Target. It's black with white polka dots. Electric sex gleaming in the window. That's us.

  11. Ho! They were just waiting for us to invent matches and marshmallows to make it worth their while!

Beautiful bathing suit. I saw a few like that when I was looking at Amazon for you, but that's much better.

  12. Hmmm. Call me a cynic, but I'm suspicious of those edits. Close-ups of the hands....I think I'll get me some bonobo gloves and a red bathing suit.....

  13. Ellen Abbott- We'll see if this is really what I want or or not.

Dayna- Whenever I wore that bathing suit I would look down at my bosom area and feel like Marilyn Fucking Monroe. I am hoping this one will make me feel the same.

    Ms. Vesuvius- Mmmmm...
Well, in that case, I did not pay nearly enough. But wouldn't that be wonderful? Maybe I'll be wearing pearls with my suit.

Jo- No idea on the Bonobos but you inspired me to remember the Esther Williams suit.
    So thank you.

Denise- I had that thought too. But...BBC?

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
