All Right. Now I Really Want To Take The Kids

On my walk this morning I saw this.

It was in front of the old truck stop. So of course I had to go check it out.
It's a tiny, tiny operation. Here's the Big Top.

And as I was taking pictures, I saw some horses and thought to get a picture of them when I suddenly saw...

Oh my beating heart!

Well. I think we might just have to go to the circus tonight.

Who says nothing ever happens in Lloyd? We have camels today!

  2. I can't believe a traveling circus with an actual big top is traveling through! I thought they were all gone in favor of the carnivals with rides. you should definitely take them. Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey is quitting this year. this may be their only opportunity.

  3. oh, what fun you will all have! I have fond memories of one *big top* circus when I was about 10......a smallish one like yours. they may not be around long enough (sadly) for your great grand children to enjoy...... so I say live it up with those grands now! Can't wait to hear your thoughts and see the photos!

  6. Wonderful... I was saddened to hear that Barnum and Bailey's is Closing their Circus after over a Century Plus of providing the Joy and the Magic that can be found nowhere else! How Fun to see Camels grazing in the fields! Hope you and the Children have a memorable time... Dawn... The Bohemian

  7. There is a different type of circus still out there, still touring. Google 'Pickle Family Circus'.....I've seen them several times, I knew Lorenzo, they taught me to juggle, many decades ago.
