My Love loves to watch the hawks where we live. He often will come in and tell me to come outside to see them as they fly looking for their dinner. Just so they don't look to closely at the hens!
Well that's just neat! I love birds of prey. The other day I was walking in my neighborhood and one of those fierce ones swooped in from the sky and tried to get a squirrel off of a tree. The squirrel hissed and bared its tiny teeth, which freaked out the bird (I think it was a juvenile red tailed hawk). The hawk flew away, and the squirrel ran around in circles in the tree for about five minutes. And just yesterday on the way home from work there were twenty-odd vultures eating a deer carcass on the side of the road. I swear to God they were socializing, talking while they ate. A spooky pot luck. Oooh, I went on for a bit there, didn't it?
Awesome! What a gorgeous bird.
