Y'all forgive me if I am quiet or maybe be grateful.
I am just tired.
All is good but I am tired.
Demon fighting is not like it is in the movies. There is no holy water, there are no wooden stakes and you can eat all the garlic you want and it ain't going to help one bit.
Don't even talk to me about thrusting crucifixes into the red glare of demons' eyes.
There may be no gnashing of teeth, no hands-up-to-the-mouth screams.
There may just be silent sauteing of onions in a pan, steaming of broccoli, cooking of brown rice.
There may be nothing but taking-in and trying-to-figure out.
There will be words again, you know that.
Love and truly...Ms. Moon

ReplyDeleteBlimey. My sentiments precisely. I feel the same about everything you just said, and am looking forward to broccoli and steamed rice this evening.
ReplyDeleteHang in there. Some people say it gets better. :-) We shall see, shan't we?
Damn black dog.
ReplyDeleteWe stand with you - even in silence xo
ReplyDeleteLife can be hard work at times, Ms Moon. Just hanging in there and trying as you say to work it through has to be enough.
ReplyDeleteBless the broccoli, rally the rice, honor the onions and the silence.
ReplyDeleteThinking about you. I wish you the best as those that love you send positive energy your way.
ReplyDeleteBrown rice is steadying. Perfect balance of yin and yang, some claim.
ReplyDeleteIt's a main ingredient of my favorite comfort dinners.
Yes to this: "There may just be silent sauteing of onions in a pan, steaming of broccoli, cooking of brown rice.
ReplyDeleteThere may be nothing but taking-in and trying-to-figure out."
Love you.
We will still be here when you pop in for some more words. Not going anywhere... Take your time. Fight your dragons and hang on to your dragonslayer...
ReplyDeleteI had a dream last night, and you were in it. I was reading your blog, and you were talking about how great my city is. Turns out you were in town and so we planned a meet up. Then I woke.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, know that even if you're having a dark day, you're on the minds of people.
Good vibes being thrown at ya through the Internets.
ReplyDeletequiet is good. sometimes there is just nothing to say. and that's good too.
ReplyDeleteI get it, Mary, and I love you.
