A Saturday Of Work

Mr. Moon and I have spent most of the day over at Mother's old house and it is mostly cleaned out. And I brought home way too much stuff and dammit! I did not want to do that! But what the hell do you do with old pictures?

Anyway, now we're off to Gadsden County to get some chickens. The theory goes that if we get them in the dark on the roost and bring them back here and put them in with our chickens in the dark, all will be well.
We shall see how this goes.

Anyway, Freddy's children's book is coming out and here's a video of the book. Of course he made a video of the book. His girlfriend, Vanessa Vandy did the illustrations. I think it is charming. He wants feedback so...give it to him! Let your kids see it? Tell him what they think? You can comment here and he'll read what you say.
Thank you so much.

More tomorrow, y'all. Hope all is well with you.

  1. Feedback: two thumbs up from this mama of two!

Seriously--great message, lovely illustrations, and best of all excellent talk points for later. Isaiah, Zachary and I often reference the morals and messages of books later and it's a great tool. I can already hear Isaiah now saying things like, "Sometimes all you need is some sun and a friend can be like sun." or Zachy saying, "You have to pick your own friends and not listen to mean people." Congrats to your friends--I read lots of books to my kids and am definitely a "book snob" -- love this, though!

Can't wait to share this with the boys when they return from Camp PaPa--only one week left! Smooches and thanks for this, Sister Moon!

  5. Beautifully done book. Chickens in the dark sounds like a good title for a comedy movie.
