I Guess I'm About Ready To Rejoin The Human Race

I believe I've done the right thing by my leg this weekend by resting and icing because I am having a lot less pain.

Mr. Moon has been a champ and held my hand when it needed holding and rubbed my hips when they needed rubbing and today he went to the store and bought vegetables and fresh pineapple to go with the shrimp he bought yesterday down in Panacea.
They're all marinating now in orange juice and soy sauce and lemon and lime juice and teriyaki sauce in a big bowl in the kitchen.

Brown rice is simmering on the stove and there's a fire in the backyard, burning down to coals to cook the shrimp and vegetables.

The chickens are put up and the sun has set and all is well in Lloyd, Florida.

May it be so with you, as well.

  7. So, do you just sautee that whole mess o' shrimp and veggies?

I'm imagining a vlog in your future where we can go out and watch you feed the chickens and then go in and watch you cook.

  8. Cool chicken pictures. Before your blog I never thought of chickens. Now I want to be a vegetarian. I am glad your hip feels a bit better. S. Jo

  12. How fitting that the place where Mr. Moon bought the shrimp is called "Panacea."

  13. I love your chickens. Sylvie had the opportunity to gather eggs at a friend's house last week. She took it very seriously, and eating those eggs has been very special.

  14. Looks like heaven. As for your last post, I was quite shocked over the weekend to realize one of my twitter friends seems to be a sincere Catholic. I didn't think there were any, anymore. I've been thinking about it all morning.

    Be well.

  16. Laura- Thank you.

Angella- For that moment in time it was very well.

    Georgie- Oh! Me too! Thanks.

Jo- I love the warmth of the freshly laid egg. There is something so right about it.

Ms. Fleur- Elvis is a sweet rooster.

Beth- I sent you something in the mail today. It should be there by July. Ha!

Syd- That was one hell of a fire. My hair smelled like Girl Scout camp all night long.

Elizabeth- NO VLOGS!!!! But we cooked the shrimp and vegetables together in wire baskets over the fire. They were delicious.

    S. Jo- I still eat chicken. I have a disconnect in my brain which allows this. How to eat more kale? Ha! That's great.

    Steve- He's a classy dude, isn't he?

Young At Heart- It was very good.

Gradydoctor- I lived in Panacea once. For a crazy time. Back in the olden days. In a house on the bay that a bunch of us were squatting in. No electricity or plumping. Good times.

Lora- I can just see that! Oh, that precious girl.

Vesuvius At Home- How does that happen? That someone can still sincerely believe in that church?

    heartinhand- I am trying.
