Getting Ready To Leave

The last load of laundry is running and we're just about packed. The bay is flat but it's gray and cloudy and the radar shows weather coming in.
I'm doing the final updates on the do- and do-not need lists.
Lily says that Owen has been throwing fits about us being gone for so long. This equally breaks my heart and makes me laugh.
Well, we shall see him soon. Maybe even this afternoon.
It's a little hard to believe that there's a real world beyond this small watery and pine one but there is and we must return to it and that is fine when I consider my babies and the chickens. And, oh, you know- Duck Dynasty.
It has been a good five days.
I am so very grateful we have had them.
