This Is A Brave MAN

And I love Carson Kressley's quote about the fact that there are openly gay and transgendered people on Dancing With The Stars this season. He said on Twitter, "2 all freaking out about having the GLBT community represented on DWTS -- it's a ballroom dancing show. It's pretty gay already."

  2. I wish the day would come when no one would even think twice about who's gay and who's straight. It just seems so ridiculous to judge someone based on their sexuality.
But what the hell do I know, I guess. I'm just a pregnant single girl, another label with way too much baggage!

  3. Weeks and weeks ago, when Jonah and I were talking about a friend who's marrying another friend, both women, and another friend of his who has two moms, and he mentioned that his father said it was wrong, he (Jonah) turned to me and said "Mom, love is love. Why don't people just get it?" He's six. Maybe, just maybe, by the time he grows up it won't be such a big deal.

Also: about finding peace and stillness and simplicity and opting out of the busy-now-needit world? You must be living in my head. This is exactly what I've been thinking about. It's so effing hard.

  4. He is so brave! I'm definitely going to watch DWTS this year just to see him and one of my other favorites, JR Martinez.

  6. Dianne- Me too! I've never watched it but this year, I think I will.

Rachel- YOU NEED TO CATCH US UP! When are you due?

Sara- Out of the mouths of babes. Yes. Love is love. No more, no less. And I do not know why it is so hard to find the still, quiet moments, even when we are trying.

Stephanie- Me too, baby. Me, too.

    Syd- Yep!

Angie- We all know so many brave people. Heroes who are unsung in their stunning bravery.

Lois- It's going to be fun!

Nancy C- I think so too.

  7. I think it's so fucking awesome. I have been following Chaz for a long time. Since his famous parents trotted the toddler out on stage to show the world how wonderfully normal and perfect they were. Then of course Cher had a pissy fit over Chaz's life which was basically spitting in the face of the GLBT society that basically WORSHIPED her. But of course once Chaz got on Oprah Cher like all changed her mind and shit.

    Jesus.

What a brave young man. I salute him with all my soul.

  8. Madame King- I wrote about that once on the blog- about how Cher needed to pull up her big girl panties and accept her son. Who in the world would Cher be without her gays? Huh? Huh? Huh?
