Yes. I Think I Will Make Oat Bran Muffins

It has been a beautiful day for me. I accomplished nothing more than gathering wildflowers and Beauty Berries and a magnolia cone and planting some lettuces.

That was enough. That was plenty.

I read. I napped. I walked. I planted. I thought.

I have a chicken pot pie in the oven with carrots and celery and onions and potatoes and green beans and corn and peas. I am going to make a salad with greens and apples and pecans.

It has been a day of recharging. It has been a day of refilling the buckets.

Should I make oat bran muffins?

Ah. The Big Questions.

I love days like this.

I do.

  1. The magnolia seeds are beautiful in their pod. Great photo.

  2. Those. are. the. best. days. Good for you.

And I agree with Syd about your header-photo.

Chicken pot pie sounds so delicious and now I want some. Is the crust difficult to make? I have never been good at making crust, or baking for that matter, unfortunately.

  3. Yes, make the oat bran muffins. They'll be delicious, and you and Mr. Moon will enjoy them in the morning.

  4. Syd- Aren't they gorgeous?

Nicol- I just make a thin sort of biscuit dough and spoon it on top. It's very good and very easy.

    Angie M- I did!

  5. Ms. Moon, you are a billion trillion miles ahead of me. God bless you.

  6. What's not to love about such a day?
It's a contribution to the sanity of the world! Sounds perfect.

  7. On days like these there's a lot to be pleased about, most of as you say being able to ask all the big questions.

For those of us who do not cook as you do, all I can say is 'lucky you and lucky the recipients of those muffins'.

  8. Beautiful new header. A recharge for the look of the blog. A walk for the recharge of you. And your blog for the recharge of me.

  9. Sounds like you had a lovely day. And that dinner sounds wonderful - I bet it was!

And your new header picture: I agree with those above. Just stunning!

  10. Those are my favorite kind of days too. Maybe next week I'll have a day like that.

  11. Rubye Jack- A million miles ahead of you in WHAT?

A- Well, at least I don't think I fucked anyone up.

Elisabeth- They were good. I put bananas in them.

Denise- Gotta change it up now and then. Plus- it's easier than painting the bathroom.

Jill- I kept trying to take pictures of the whole bunch of things I gathered on my walk and it just didn't work. So- a small bit did.

Lora- I hope so! You deserve it!

  12. Glad you had such a great day. Your new banner is lovely.

    I adore you!

  13. Mama Moon pot pie sounds divine.
And the oat bran muffins too.
    Lovely bouquet

  14. Ms. Bastard-Beloved- There are some beautiful things blooming here now.

Bethany- Owen and I just had leftovers for lunch. Yum.

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
