Good morning from Florida. Or at least a Florida which In my heart is the real one or my home-one, my heart-home one and I am in the land of my river dreams and I am feeling quiet and all around me is color and heat and water.
And really did I ever leave?
I am so grateful to the men who have made this dream from my childhood into a real and certain paradise. To my husband for bringing me back to this dream and loving me in it.
This looks so pretty. Those dishes remind me of my own - are they Fiestaware? Or dishes from my childhood - though not all grown up, I love the mixed bright colors. I think a pool would be great for you and yours. Wouldn't an above ground one be possible? At least more affordable? Well, those are not decisions for the perfect weekend so you don't have to think about that now. Just relax and enjoy everything around and inside you. Sweet Jo
Those dishes alone would be worth the trip. What a lovely place to return to, and I hope all that water continues to wash away at the demons from the past. xo
Just wondering...your former home, the one that I visited all those years ago (I think Jessie was 13), didn't it have a pool? And wasn't it also a big beautiful old home? Just wondering about your decision to move to your beautiful current home...is it because it's in Lloyd and more "countrified"?
Looks like a serene place. I look at pools but then I consider all the trees and leaf debris and the maintenance. I think that I'll just let that idea float on by.
CANNONBALL!!

ReplyDeleteYou should have a pool. Definitely.
ReplyDeleteYou are a water-baby, Ms. Moon. Get yourself a pool!
ReplyDeletePretty, pretty, pretty. Roseland is just how it sounds. And yes, Mer should have a pool.

I vote yes on a pool.
ReplyDeletePools are nice, but they're hell to maintain, from what I hear. (I've never had one.)
ReplyDeleteLove the Melmac dinnerware!
