It's going to be a long day. It was one of those nights where sleep came in jagged chunks with long spaces inbetween of why can't I sleep? I'm so tired.

And then Mr. Moon's alarm was inadvertently set for five instead of six and both of us were so groggy that we didn't realize it and so we got UP and got dressed and brushed our teeth and so forth, only to realize our mistake and so we went back to bed for another fine forty minutes of waiting for the alarm to go off again.

Yes. It is going to be a long day here at the childcare and chicken facility.

Wish me luck.

  1. I'm tired right along with you. I fought zombies several times last night in a long series of stupid nightmares. I am wearing a fitbit now, to track my activity and help me be less fat, and one of the awful perks is it tells me how many periods of restlessness I have at night. I sleep worse than I thought, waking as much as 14 times a night. Fourteen. My average is six or seven, in the seven hours I'm trying to sleep. No wonder I'm dull, listless and confused. Wouldn't it be lovely if there were a cure for this sleeplessness that didn't make us duller and more confused?

Hope the chicken and childcare program rejuvenates you. Maybe you'll even catch a little nap?

  2. You're well into the thick of it now - hope all is going well!

  3. I can see the sign hanging from your porch: Moon's Chickens and Childcare.

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
