He was a neighbor when I still lived in St. Paul. I must admit I did not have an appreciation of him at that time. I have changed my mind as both he and I have evolved. He has a great bookstore in St. Paul. I'm also glad he's alright.
Oh dear, I hadn't heard about that. I read a fascinating interview with him in an Irish newspaper recently. I'd no idea about his religious family!My parents got his tapes manyyears ago and we all loved them so much. Wonderful stories, and such subtle humour.
