It is a place which is one of the cornerstones of my life. I am not even kidding you. And that road? That's where we played marbles.
Vultures in a dead tree within a stone's throw of the Walgreens, Publix and Highway 1.
That's the way it is down here.
And so is this:
And this:
See the train trestle behind me? And the pelicans?
Okay.
Time to fry the mullet.
Man, it is so good.
That photo of Mr. Moon. is great! Catching dinner...what could be more fresh? The trip is doing you well....
ReplyDeleteWow, I love that photo too of the mister with the net, super cool. Amazing that there are still places you can just catch your food and eat it.
ReplyDeleteYou look gorgeous as usual.
I don't know what mullet is, but you make it sound so good.
Enjoy!
Is there anything Mr. Moon isn't good at?
ReplyDeleteI like the house in the photo with the SADLER sign in it.
Thank you for this little tour of Roseland.
gorgeous photos --- I can smell the salt and the fish and the sea -- and you look very cool and beautiful
ReplyDeleteCould those fly-overs be sandhill cranes? Or maybe wood storks (which always look like big awkward flying saucers to me)? And really: who cares? You look happy enough for all of us, happy to last for always. Or at least for this moment, which if we're honest, is really what we *have*. Love, love.
ReplyDeleteSmoked Mullet... yummy!
ReplyDeleteThose photos are a work of art.
Safe travels.
