I Survived

And now the boys are here and we're staying cozy in the house. The temperature is dropping outside and it's gray and windy.
We've got antique records and we have all four Beatle dolls now because Vergil found the missing George on eBay to give to Owen for Christmas.

Owen didn't want to be in the picture.

So here we are and I'm so glad to be and tonight I'll turn on all the faucets to drip and oh! How I hope my chickens make it through the cold.

Let's all take care.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. I am glad stage 1 is done and in the past. I am glad the boys are there. The dolls are great! Who knew there were such dolls?? I have confirmed an observation... Gibson is not automatically smiling in pictures for us. Has he passed that stage of putting up with the camera days? They are both still adorable. Sweet Jo

  2. Glad you survived!!! God what a horrible pain in the ass tooth issues are. Pain in the mouth too.

I am in the depths today with the black dog sitting on my lap. UGH.

  3. I knew you would make it. Hope the worst is through.

That Owen has Beatles dolls makes me so happy.

Sharing records with your grand boys, what a great way to spend a day. They are adorable as always.

    Stay warm. xo

  8. I'm dying over the Beatles dolls. Way to go, Uncle Vergil! Or is it Virgil?

  9. Oh, wow, very cool! Great Beatles.

I had a Tugboat record, I think narrated by Burl Ives. It was wonderful, I don't suppose you have one, do you? It seems to have mysteriously disappeared.

I didn't know Babes in Toyland was a real thing - there's a 90s Riot Grrl group called that. And now there's also a sex toy shop called Toys in Babeland :)

  10. Dear Chickens (sung to the tune of Dear Prudence)
Dear Prudence, won't you come out to play
Dear Prudence, greet the brand new day
The sun is up, the sky is blue
It's beautiful and so are you
Dear Prudence won't you come out to play

Dear Prudence open up your eyes
Dear Prudence see the sunny skies
The wind is low the birds will sing
That you are part of everything
Dear Prudence won't you open up your eyes?

  11. Those are some groovy Beatles dolls. They're in their "Yellow Submarine" outfits, aren't they? Awesome.

  12. Sweet Jo- You are exactly correct about Gibson and the smiles but I assure that in real life, he is smiling as much as ever.

SJ- Ugh. I am so sorry.

Mel- I just keep reminding myself that there will be drugs for the procedure. Yes, that is pathetic. Still- whatever gets you through the fucking night.
    And days.

Joanne- Mostly Owen still wanted to hear the Rolling Stones.

Angella- I did, honey. And Vergil is wonderful.

    Mama D- Me too. Gawd.

Mr. Downtown- Owen and Gibson- not so much.

    Elizabeth- Vergil.

Jo- Oh yes. Babes in Toyland, definitely real. And no, sadly I do not have your Burl Ives record.

Denise- Dear YOU! Thank you, sweets.

Steve Reed- Yes. And accessories came with them, including the Yellow Submarine. Jessie's Aunt Dee Ann had given her three of the dolls (John, Paul, and Ringo) in their original packages but we were missing George. Owen has loved those things forever and now he has all four.

  13. Mary have you seen this? I just discovered. Unfortunately I have a dumbphone and no androids except my toaster which is now much to my sorrow only toasting on one side.
