Not So Good

When I was a kid in Winter Haven, we had a neighbor who used to say, "She's so far down she's reaching up to touch bottom."

Yeah. Like that.

I know. Things will change. They always do.

  2. You've had to say some hard goodbyes lately. I'm able to get online only sporadically right now and wont be commenting much but please know I am thinking of you and sending love.

  5. Remember-

Been down so long it looks like up to me?

Today in therapy, my therapist said I'm melancholy. That's it, melancholy! All the sadness in the world rolls over me sometimes...and I can't get up.

    XXX your NW friend.

  8. Birdie- For us all.

    Jill- Yes.

Ellen Abbott- I am. I promise.

Angella- And I am thinking about you. I know that what you're doing is not easy. Love you.

Elizabeth- Could we just have martinis? Thanks, my dear.

Madame King- And I love you too.

GradyDoctor- You have no idea how much that does help. Thank you, sweet sister woman.

Beth Coyote- Melancholy is a proper, precise word and one sorely underused today where we just label everything as "depression" and then maybe medicate. Melancholy is the valid emotional response to a whole lot of sadness.

Sabine- It is true. We will.

Syd- I know you do, dear man. I know.
