Lagniappe

We just found that tiny little olive-colored, olive-shaped speckled egg in the nest with the regular eggs.

WHAT THE HELL?

I'd say that one of the hens just had a weird, off day but none of our hens have ever laid an egg of that color. Not in this flock, anyway.

Oh, the mystery of birds.

  3. I had a small hen that used to lay small eggs like that! Her name was Tiger and the fried eggs were soooo cute!

    1. We do not have cuckoos but I think something else might have tried to put one over on the hens.
