Your Batshit Crazy Sunday Sermon. Get It While It's Hot.

It's Sunday morning at the Church of the Batshit Crazy and Lis has gone to town to drop Lon off and we're going to go to Costco later on to buy pizzas to fix up and bake for tonight and it's so hot and I had terrible dreams.

Yeah. Normal Sunday here.

I keep reading in the paper about how the Tea Partiers are REALLY, REALLY fed up with how the liberals are taking their country away from them and stepping all over the Constitution and there are even chapters of RV Tea Partiers.
I love the idea of them getting their way and taxes being cut like crazy so that they don't have decent roads to drive their gas-hogging RV's on around the country while stopping along their journeys to meet and bitch about the government and talk about how decent health care is going to destroy the country.

I have to ask again- WHO THE FUCK ARE THESE PEOPLE?

Are they, as it would appear, just a bunch of dimwit shitheads who deep down are merely racists? Are they just people who are truly afraid of change?
Are they ignorant assholes?

I don't know.

I don't even know what they want but I sure wish they'd spoken up when GW was president because it seemed to me that he punched holes all in the constitution and used the litter as confetti to throw in the eyes of the people, calling it a Parade for America.
Or something like that.
Yes. I am still angry. I'm still angry at GW and I'm angry at us liberals for being so fucking polite that we let him get away with it and that we're still so fucking polite we're standing back and letting people like Glenn Beck say whatever he wants, no matter how incendiary and ridiculous he is.
I suppose it has something to do with liberals believing in free speech and not just when that speech is about something we believe in.
Still. I'm pissed.

It's probably just the heat. In a few hours it'll be so hot that I won't have enough energy to give a shit and that's sad, too, I suppose but it's just the truth.

And I get to see Owen and all the kids tonight and I'll feel better about the world then. Things make so much more sense when I have my kids and the grandson around. Or maybe they don't make any more sense but I just don't care as much. I am a person who would far rather deal with diapers and chickens than The Big Picture but someone has to take out the trash. Someone has to dance with the babies. Someone has to gather the eggs.
Here I am, raising my hand to volunteer for all of that.

Glenn Beck is good at wrapping himself in the flag and posing for pictures. I'm not. Plus, it's too damn hot to wrap myself in anything.

All right. Well. I'm done.

Let's all remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. Whatever that means to you. I hope it means something fun.

And perhaps involves bacon.

Love...Ms. Moon

    Bingo! Good morning to you!

  2. Good morning --I am eating my Sunday morning omelet at my coffee shop on my street and its going to be a heat index of 108 today so I feel your pain all around, only mine is without bacon.

Happy weekend, MM. Sounds like you're having a BIG one! Tell the kiddos hello.

  3. I don't know what they are but perhaps a combination of what you wrote. Beck and Limberger Cheese are entertainers who whip people into a frenzy. I think liberals believe in the common good but conservatives believe in good for themselves. JMO.

  4. Yay Bacon! Had some in my grits.

I keep wondering how the tea partiers have enough sense to get in out of the rain. The quote in the Democrap (oops!) where the Shell Point person used the word "basically" twice reinforced my perception. And the bird lady in Naples? What "left" field is she talking about?

Sorry. I'm ranting. I think I need more bacon.

WV: inrefate - sounds like it might be related to Palin's refudiate.

  5. I hear you, Ms. Moon. I feel your frustration too. Who are these people? Misinformed, I believe. Judgemental, non-thinking, scared villagers looking to throw someone into the volcano to appease their angry gods. Or something like that. I wish I knew what to do. I keep fantasizing that rational people, liberals, I guess, will form their own cute-named movement and start getting some press. I Hate Obama Haters, or the Sane Party, or No Takebacks, because there's nothing to take America back from without crapping on the Constitution.
Sigh. It is too hot to get started on this.
Glad you have family to distract you, though it's the worry over my kids' future that gets me hot and bothered these days. What the hell kind of world will they be living in thirty years from now??
OK, back to smaller scale worries, the ones I have some influence over. Have a great, steamy day. xxoo

  8. Don't get me started on the idiocy of the TP folks waving around "their constitution" and raving about the loss of their constitutional rights while not even noticing, now or when it was happening, all the holes that were shot in it by GW and his Gang of Thieves.

They are Targets that have been distracted by "Amusers" (old term for Pickpocket's accomplice: Beck, Limbaugh, O'Reilly, et al) who have thrown the dust of "Obama's abuse of constitutional rights" in their eyes to divert their attention from the prime cause of the dismantling of the basic structure of this country: $$$1.02$$$ Trillion and rising drain of their hard earned tax dollars into the pockets of the Suppliers and Paid Perpetrators of War.

Remember one of the terms GW & Co co-opted "Follow the Money"??

Just think what kind of schools, child care, roads, bridges, investment in green technology we could have in this country with that kind of money.

If they had any sense at all they would be furiously trying to take back that part of their country.

Thanks for moving me to testify this morning, MM.

  9. I had my bacon and oatmeal pancakes this morning...yep and my latte too. As for politics..I don't get into it which to some may seem wrong but I have a feeling if I did I would be overwhelmed and let's face it I don't need anymore on my plate. Mom is enough.

  10. You bring the bacon, and I'll bring the dark chocolate covered almonds. We'll make a party out of it!

  11. America the Beautiful is full of dumb asses.

We had blueberry pancakes and bacon for breakfast too.

  12. I couldn't agree more. Thank you for speaking the truth on this miserably hot day.

But listen--Owen swam all by himself today without floaties.

    It all evens out.

  13. Sorrry Ms Moon - this time I didn't manage to get past the wonderful photo of your house.

Do you live in my dream house?

    Quite possibly.

  14. I don't get them either. It seems our right wing politicians are left wing compared to your liberals. But then you do live in a different world.

  15. No matter how many times I run into a Rush or Beck show on radio or TV, I am constantly astounded at how ridiculous and "un-backable" their claims and statements are. Truly astounded!

  16. I understand the Tea-Baggers' greed and hate; it's simple:

The cost of civilization is more than they're willing to put forth.

  17. The Tea Partiers are making the Kool-Aid and their ignorant followers are all drinking it. It's disgusting.

  18. I hope you had a good birthday, and I wish you many more.

I am still pissed at GW, too. I hate his dumb ass. When he croaks, I'm going to have a house party. I'm damn serious, too.

  19. NOLA- God. We're such tolerant people, us liberals. It's sort of disgusting.

SJ- I never got any bacon either. WTF????

Syd- I think you are right.

Jucie- I think they LOVE being idiots.

Mel- I'll try and think of a name. Those are good suggestions.

Lo- Thank-YOU, Lo Darling. And I think "ranters" is the key word there.

    Rebecca- Without a doubt.

N2- "ust think what kind of schools, child care, roads, bridges, investment in green technology we could have in this country with that kind of money."
I think about that ALL the time.

Ellen- Sometimes you just have to step away.

    Ms. Trouble- I agree.

    Ms. Fleur- Sounds yummy.

Michelle- Land of the Dumb Asses. Yep.

Nancy C- What good news! Yay, Owen!

Nigel- Well, I know it's my dream house.

Mwa- And not to our benefit, either.

Scott- And even more astounding- people quote them as if they knew what the hell they were talking about.

    Magnum- You nailed it, baby.

Lois- Yeah. Keep that shit away from me.

Ms. Bastard-Beloved- I will come and celebrate with you.

  20. If you had actually preached this and I had attended, I probably would have fallen over in one of the dead faints, I would have been so overcome with TRUTH.

I get tired of being "tolerant" and love coming here to just hear it like it is. Curse words and all.

Remember Gulliver's Travels? The Tea Partiers remind me of one of the stops Gulliver might have made. Frankly, I have no problem condescending to a bunch of people who want to maintain a standard of living that is grotesque.
