I have been a lazy, lazy slob today.
Guess what?
I do not care.

I have read, I have worked on the crossword, I have talked to May on the phone, I have had visitors on my bed like this:

Maurice tried to ensure my rest by laying on me.

This worked for quite some time. She's my nurse cat.

Lily has made a huge pan of enchiladas. Do you hear me? SOMEONE COOKED MY SUPPER!

I feel like the queen of the world.

Love...Ms. Moon

P.S. Jessie and Vergil have power now. May just got hers back on too. I do not think Hank has electricity yet and Lily and Jason don't either. The novelty of it all is wearing thin for those who are still living in the dark.
And I would put a lot of money on the fact that there are more completely clean refrigerators and freezers in Tallahassee right now than in the entire history of the state. So much food has had to be thrown out.
Again. I feel so incredibly lucky.

  1. Living through a hurricane gives you a be a lazy slob card. Use it for as long as you need to.

  2. Gosh. I am so sorry that power is still out for so many people. It boggles the mind -- how dependent we are on it and how much we take it for granted.

  3. Such a shame to think of all that wasted food!

  4. We are seriously thinking about getting a Generac home generator here. Luckily, we only lost power for about 5 hours. It becomes a real nuisance for the power to be off for days.

  5. I'm so happy any time I don't have to cook! Take it easy for awhile, Mary. The earth won't stop turning, and it will be good for you.

  6. None of this seems lazy to me. Keep up the good work.
