The Best Mother's Day EVER

The only thing that could have made it better was if Jessie and Jason had been here.
But next year- oh my god!

Anyway, I just have a bunch of pictures. Here they are.

After bruncheon and Monopoly and sweetness galore, Mr. Moon and I took a ride down to Lake Miccosukee in the Cutlass. I decided I did not want to go out to eat. I just wanted to glory being with my partner in crime, the father of some of my babies, the daddy of all of them and so that's what we did.

And I got to talk to two of my most beloved mother-sisters on the phone and May posted this on Facebook

And Hank posted this.

I am the luckiest woman in the world.

And now I'm going to go cook some potatoes and carrots out of the garden and thus, I am even luckier.

  1. I just want to say I love you. I feel lucky to know you and mothered in reading your blog. I won't even try to explain that one. I am so happy your real children honor you the way they do. You are the best mom.

  2. Dear dear Mary-Happy Mother's Day to you, sweet woman. The photos were just perfect.

    Much love from the NW!

  3. What a wonderful, good-looking day! Glad you were surrounded by all that love and beauty.

  4. I love you so much, Mary Moon. Those photos are drop-dead gorgeous, every single one of them.

  5. Your family personifies LOVE. Lily glows!

The cypress with lily pads is breathtaking ~ would make a perfect old-Florida postcard.

What a beautiful Mother's Day for you :)

  6. Enjoyed the photos, especially the children and the old pictures. Is that you as the mama in the second to last, and you in the last?

  7. Sweet Jo- I feel so lucky to have you as part of my family. Thank you, darling. So much.

Beth- Girl! You have no idea how much I thought of you today. More to follow...

Lora- Post more pictures on FB. I miss you and your gorgeous children and your handsome husband. So much.

Elizabeth- Thank you for being part of my life. So much. Real love.

lulumarie- You have a very, very perceptive eye. More to come...
    I love you.

    jenny_O- Yes. That was me.

  8. What a beautiful family. Good job, Mrs. Moon.

  9. These are terrific pics. It's so great that everyone (well, almost everyone) could be together. I love the enthusiasm and warmth of your family, and those photos of Lake Miccosukee are great, too!

  10. What a lovely Mother's day. Gail

  11. So glad that you had a good day. We did not celebrate because there are no Moms alive anymore, but we did have a lot of gratitude for what they gave to us and to all the people who have nurtured us in our life.

  12. I'm glad you all had such a fabulous day...We just had a storm here, complete with thunder, so summer isn't long in coming.

Tell me, sweeties. Tell me what you think.
