They're Going To Disney World!

Boys coming and it's chilly and beautiful and I spent about half an hour last night trying to send myself a video that Lily sent me of the boys being told they were going to go to Disney World this week but I could NOT do it.
I've finally figured it out but it only shows sideways and I'm not doing that.
Anyway, Owen was hysterical. Gibson was...Gibson.
"Gibson, you want to to go Disney World?"
"Yeah."

So. They might just be a teensie bit excited today and as much as I hate The Mouse, I will never forget when I took Lily and Jessie there when they were littles and we had so much fun, mostly, and when the fireworks were going off, Lily looked at me breathlessly and said, "Mama, Disney World really IS magic," and there you go.

Well, good morning from Lloyd which is sort of magic, too. Let's all have a good Monday.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. As ambivalent as I am toward the Disney empire, I must say I also had a BALL when I went to Disney World as a child. They're in for some great experiences. :)

  4. Well, all kids love Disneyland/Disneyworld, I guess. I did it with my kids a few times. The grandkids and their parents LOVE it. But I'm curmudgeonly enough to say that the best thing is being out in nature. Of course, all things in moderation.

    P.S. I'm grumpy today.

  5. Steve Reed- Yep. It's definitely a magical place for children.

jenny_o- Owen is way too excited for words. I think they're going to have a great time.

    e- Aw. Nice memory!

Denise- I agree with you, totally. And that place is hotter than fifty hells in the summer so I'm glad they're going now. They're only spending one day so hopefully, it won't be overwhelming for anyone.

  6. Ah well. They will love it. I have the same ambivalent feeling each year - we have promised to take the kids to one park each year (never Disney so far) - but it makes them soooo happy for weeks.

By the way, I thought "Fuck it" and I've started blogging again. Because it's a happy thing to do.

  7. I'm just grateful that I don't need to go to Disneyland ever again. Aren't we a carmudgeonly lot?

  8. I did not go to Disneyland. Wanted to as a kid but now have no desire.
