Carrots And Cats

I don't have a thing to say tonight. I'm just feeling pretty content, watching TV and doing a little rug repair.
So anyway, there's some pictures of my carrots. Aren't they gorgeous? Jeez.

Temperature's dropping again. I'd say there's a 87% chance that Maurice might actually sleep with me tonight. I told Mr. Moon that sometimes I wish we had a real cat. He said, "Yeah, she probably won't let us hold her again until next fall."

We both laughed but we know it's true. We love her anyway.

Stay warm.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. I have never, ever seen a red carrot. It is beautiful. Does it taste different from an orange carrot?

  3. Those carrots ARE beautiful. I wonder if they're crossed with beets, in order to have such a deep red color? Just a guess.

  5. Hard to say what's prettier - the inside or the outside of those carrots.
I grew boring old orange ones a few years ago, but the taste was remarkable. Like a grocery store carrot on steroids.

  6. I love the colored carrots! no matter what color on the outside, they are still orange on the inside. I didn't plant any this year. I didn't plant anything this year.

and my cat is the same way. her idea of affection is sitting in the same room with you. she is definitely NOT a lap sitter.

  7. Those are amazing! I've never seen any like them.

I suppose we get the cat we have, not the cat we want ;)

  8. WE have a visiting cat Sooty. He does have a home across the street. In the winter he comes and is all soppy and stroke me give me food etc. In the summer he doesn't come. Too many barbeques and open doors and visits to fit into his working day probably. And if you do see him on the street he is all bristly and wild eyed. Like he is saying don't stroke me it will ruin my street cred! Those carrots are amazing! Maggi x

  9. Poor Maurice. Fur coat in Florida. That's all I have to say about that :)

Those carrots are huge. How long did it take to grow them? We never had carrots grow that fat even after four months of being in the ground. (our growing season)

  12. Such beautiful colors, I bet they tasted wonderful. One of my grocery stores has been selling bags of tri colored carrots and they are so good. I love the subtle flavor differences and purple is the best :)
I've missed you, but thought of you and talked about you more than you can know. I'll get around to posting again soon, when things slow down and I get my wits back. Until then, reading when I can, always happy to see the going's on in your magical corner of Lloyd. xo
