I could write a million words about where we are and what we’re doing but five grandchildren and a so much love and making chicken and dumplings and all of it- all of it- has left me too tired to even think.

But all is very, very well and that is the view from the balcony patio of Vergil’s beloved grandmother’s house where we are staying now. The picture changes minute by minute and it is always amazing.
As Owen said tonight, “I am so glad I got to come here.”

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. Owen is there with you?? And that view is spectacular. Those lights in the hills, like little suns.

  2. Grandkids, chicken and dumpling's and that spectacular view is worth every minute, heck every second of being right where you are. It is the little things that mean the most and you sure have a lot of little things that add up to the big picture of living and loving life.

I know that your tired but isn't it the best kind of tired? There is just something about those sweet faces and the words that comes out of the mouth's of babes that erases all the things that get to us.

Enjoy it all Mary. You deserve every second... Hugs, Beth Reed

  3. What ARE those lights? It's a reflection in glass, I think? It makes the mountains look like erupting volcanoes!

  5. I see pictures of so many beautiful places, people who have amazing views out their windows and wonder what karma had me born on the flat plain Gulf Coast Plains.

  6. We were up in the mountains a couple of weeks ago. It was much cooler than the coast. Enjoy!

  7. Five grandchildren! I think Lily and her brood must have joined ya'll. I hope you're getting some rest and enjoying the peace of the mountains. Say hello to North Carolina for me. I do love it so.

  8. Those are some great mountains! Did you tell Owen how far they travel, and that hikers have a trail from one end to the other? I've only hiked the Appalachian trail in West Virginia.

  9. That view is lovely. I would love some mountains...Florida is too flat, hot and crowded. Owen will remember this visit when he is older and with much pleasure.
