Those are the bananas, bit by the frost we had last week, tattered now and brown against the gray sky.
That pretty much sums up how I feel this morning.
I'm reading the weirdest book called "Duplex" and it's making me glad to live in a "normal" world. Does that make sense? Frosted-over banana leaves are so sad, though, and I hope your own melancholy evaporates.
I used to feel blah on Sunday mornings too, when I was a kid -- but that's because we went to church. Ugh! I know that's not the cause of your Sunday blues. :)
Too bad about the bananas, but at least they grow like weeds!
There's a lot of that going around. Meh.
ReplyDeleteBit drab here today too. Try not to let it affect your mood too much.
ReplyDeleteThe after thanksgiving road to Christmas slump. Yeah. I know.

ReplyDeleteI always love the look of banana plants. I just don't know why. But I prefer them not to be all brown, I agree :)
ReplyDeleteWent to see Dallas Buyers Club this afternoon. A good movie, a really good movie.

Akannie- Darn. I hate it for all of us.
ReplyDeleteBob- Sundays are my Suck Days.
Angella- It's inevitable.
Elizabeth- Would I like it? That book?
The bananas will grow back next spring. I have to remember that.
Jenny Woolf- They are so tropical and green and the leaves are just so juicy. Until they die.
Syd- Yeah. I have to see that one.
Steve Reed- Bananas sure do. And no, church isn't my problem but it is related.
