Mother died around six o'clock this evening.
I was with her and my brother, Chuck was able to say good-bye. Glen was there with us.
She went peacefully and quick.
I'll write more tomorrow.
And I'm fine. I promise you. I'm proud of her. She got it done. And she's not in pain of any sort any more.
Whoa. Not what I was expecting to read.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this.
I'm very happy for her. She was ready to die, and then she did. I think there must be little worse than lingering after one's time to go.
Hugs.
Oh Mary, I wasn't expecting that. So so glad she is at peace. I hope you can find some too, especially for the daughter part of you. Love you.
ReplyDeleteUnexpected! But I'm glad you're okay, and that you got to be with her. Sending all the love.

You are loved.
May peace be with you all.
ReplyDeleteI am both sorry and relieved. She was ready. Take care. Lots of emotions around loss of a parent,
ReplyDeleteWow. I'm so sorry, but I know this brings some relief for you and members of your family who were worried about her quality of life. Thinking of you.
ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you.
ReplyDeleteWell, as with all your writing, you are so close to the truth... she had a good death, and now she is at peace, and I hope that peace will come to you too now. She was so lucky to have the people that meant most to her around her at that time, and then she went.. I do hope that you will find good things to remember, and have peace within yourself now.. Hugs from across the pond.janzi

ReplyDeleteNot at all what I expected to see. Gad that it was not drawn-out, at least. Thinking of you all...
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss. I was thinking yesterday that she'd probably die sometime in January, a lot of people in her condition hold on through Christmas and New Years and then let go in January.
ReplyDeleteAgain, I'm so sorry.
