And then yep! He's pecking her. But MISS BETTY STANDS HER GROUND! She may be trying to hide under Mabel, but she's not leaving that roost.
And Sam accepts her. I know you can hardly see it but there she is, squished between Sam and Mabel.

How I miss my chickens! particularly the little Araucanas with their fluffy tails and their jewel eggs. Some day, who knows? But they deserve better than a city lot to live and thrive, and be happy as yours.

Ms. Moon every time my dad made chicken soup from one of his chickens he always claimed the chicken butt for himself. Said it was the tastiest part of the chicken. I think he just enjoyed grossing us out. I realy do! Thanks for the memory!!
