Typical Summer Post

Good morning from Lloyd where this old lady is staying close to home today. Yesterday wore my ass out and anyone who doesn't think that anxiety and stress can do a number on your body is just not wired like me. Last night as I was cooking supper (a delicious cherry tomato, chicken, and pesto pasta, in case you're interested) my left arm started hurting. I was pretty sure it wasn't a heart attack and I'm even surer now in that it still hurts and I'm not dead.
I think I actually pinched a nerve sitting there in that doctor's office.
Oh well. It's feeling better but I'm not planning on doing a whole lot today.
Not because of my arm but because I just don't want to.

It's a green, beautiful, steamy day. It poured rain last night and the wind whipped and it was simply magnificent.

Here's a little of what it looks like around here today.

Nope. Not going anywhere. May do a little light yard work.
Although...

So it's not just me? It really DOES feel like it's 110 degrees?

Ah, whatever. It's supposed to be MUCH cooler than yesterday. Wow. It must have been pure-T hell yesterday.

I'll report in later.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. So, in "Canadian" it "feels like" 39C!
    That's crazy!
I would die. I would just die. That's all.

  2. It's been in the 90s in NYC, but yesterday, the heat broke and it's now a breezy 80s. Outside my window the tree branches are swaying gently. That's as close as I can come to feeling the grass between my toes. It looks magical in your kingdom this morning. I'd stay close to home soaking it up, too.

  3. It is 72 degrees in Marin's del Rey so I have nothing to complain about. We've had strange humidity here in the Los Angeles area - nothing I've ever experienced before. It's like when I visited back East. I hate it. But feeling like 110, you have my condolences. That would certainly take getting used to. I am in awe that you get anything done each day let alone as much as you do. And a new baby in two months!!!!! Wow, that is going to be wildly fun and interesting to see how the boys will handle that. I send you permission to do nothing at all today.

  4. Holy Moly. I hope you didn't do any yard work.
And probably Mr. Moon should feed you little bites of something delicious right from his finger tips so you can rest your arm.
    Be well.

  6. I had to do the conversion and it is 34.2 C. OMG. That is just nasty. It isn't just hot, it is HAWT! That kind of heat would make me cry if I wasn't completely dehydrated.

  7. That Buddha is laughing a little too broadly for my comfort :)

I was away from home yesterday and driving for hours and my head and body are worn out today, too. Are we all homebodies here or what?

  8. not just the heat (don't know how you do so much each day enveloped in that) but the intensity of the day yesterday............. no wonder you are staying home today and GOOD for you! You know your body well and are hearing what it is telling you today.....gentle and slow

  9. It's 59º F and raining here in London. (And according to the Weather Channel, it actually FEELS like 59º!) People say England has terrible weather but I'm actually liking it a lot right about now.
