Today

Finally a halfway decent walk this week and the butterflies are out everywhere and I can't get a decent picture to save my life. I noticed that the passion flowers are fruiting which led me to wonder if they're edible. This led to finding a blog that I'll definitely be adding to my feed which is called Pure Florida.
Yes, they are edible and I hope to try some soon.

The sky is darkening to an ominous shade of gray and I am spending the day right here in Lloyd, Florida. I'm going to make a few pints of fig preserves, do a little cleaning.

Mr. Moon and I may go for a little beach trip this weekend, just down to St. George for two nights. I surely could use a little ocean in my sight and on my skin.

And that's about it. I'm feeling a bit more on top of things. I am grateful for a day of downtime to attend to what is right here before me.

I am so grateful for all of you. Thank you.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. A beach break sounds great! I have never been to St. George -- actually to any of the Panhandle beaches. Which is kind of ridiculous, I know. Have a great time if you go, and thank goodness the butterflies are out!

  3. Delighted you're going to the beach!

I can't imagine the heat, you're right - all I know is, I'd be pretty much dead in it! Our sea is so cold it hurts, but I'd still chose that over your heat :)

  4. Oh yes the beach! I was there today and it would be lovely with just a husband as well.

  5. the beach is a cure all as far as I'm concerned. all that rain we had all winter and spring and early summer has dried up and we haven't had a drop for weeks. can you believe after all the complaining I did that I would like for it to rain.

  6. Yes, yes, the beach, the ocean, one of nature's very best cures. I hope you go and that it does you good. We should be hitting the beach in September and I can't wait.

  8. I am so grateful for *you*. Thank *you*.

Ms. Moon, I do not know what I would do without you. Reading your blog makes my heart swell with gratitude (Oprah be damned).

I hope you get to your ocean. Sometimes I wonder how people live without it so close. My husband says they have lakes but to me it is just not the same.

  10. Steve Reed- There really are some spectacular beaches on the west coast up here. You and Dave should plan a vacation. It's especially nice in fall.

Jo- Oddly enough, we have springs and sink holes that are that cold. I can't tolerate the cold the way I used to but it's nice to dip in them.

Mwa- Oh yes. You and your sweetie should be able to have some beach time by yourselves.

Ellen Abbott- Me too! I am so grateful when it rains, even though we've had so much.

Ms. Vesuvius- September is the BEST beach month around here.

    Desiree- I thank you!

Angella- We are going to try.

Birdie- I almost died when I lived in Denver. For some, the mountains are salvation but not for me. I have to have an ocean nearby. And the nearer the better!
Thank you for the sweet, sweet words.

Sarah- Well, maybe that's why I've had such a nice day. Thank you!
