Thinking

I think I am having a morning of epiphany.
I am reading (listening to on tape) a book by Alice Walker- Now Is The Time To Open Your Heart and you know how I am about all things religious, up to and including any of the New Agey ones but this book, which talks very much of spiritual matters in the form of fiction, is whispering in my heart.
I am not quite finished listening to it and will be sad when I am. I have had Alfre Woodard's voice narrate the story in my ear as I have worked in my yard and walked my miles for days now and it has been delightful. It has been one of those books which I needed to read or hear at this very moment in time and I am so grateful for having picked it up at the library and putting it in my bag.
So when I finish it and when I have thought more about it, I'll try and say what I have learned.

Owen is here.

More later.

  1. I love it when books or people or msuic speak to me. I love it more when other people say that it happens to them, because then I feel less insane. :)

  2. I love Alice Walker ~ going to the library today to see if they have that book! My heart has been breaking over the past 50 days ~ the thought of all those beautiful birds, dolphins, sea turtles and all the innocent creatures of the ocean suffering because of human greed is just about more than I can bear. The title of that book gives me a tiny glimmer of hope and reminds me that ALWAYS is the time to open your heart. Thank you, Mary Moon!

  4. I have heard of this one from my mom's friend. I will just have to get it now, because it does sound like something I need to read (hear) too.

and I'm glad you had an epiphany. That we still can and do. Isn't life just too much in those moments. In a good way. A rush .

and your shorter hair will help you stay cooler. Next time you need a trim ask them to thin it out a big.
I have thick hair. If I let it be , I look like that guy on Room 222 , that show from way back with the crazy red do.

hope you are having a wonderful Owen day.
