You Do What You Can

One of my hens laid this tiny egg today which says to me that whichever hen laid it is...well, stressed out.
But still- she laid me an egg. She's doing what she can.
And I just want to say that right now I am doing what I can. I hate not responding to all of my comments. I hate it! But right now- I don't have the time. And I may not get around to commenting on your blog, either. But I'm probably reading.
Just wanted you to know.
I'm still here. Obviously. I'm just busy keeping a seven month old boy happy and having a little bit of a role in the murder mystery at the Opera House. And trying to keep the laundry up. And you know- living my life.
So that's all.
And if I laid eggs right now, they would be teeny-tiny and probably not half as beautiful as the one above.
But I'm a woman, not a chicken and I'm doing the best I can do.

  1. I'm ok, you're ok.

Well -my okay-ness is questionable ;)

But, we all do what we can. Please don't feel like you have to apologize for it...we love you.

    I do.

  7. There are only 24 hours in a day, for all of us. Real life does get in the way at times.
Don't worry, I keep reading your blog because I like what you write, and I like looking at your photographs. Not because you comment on our comments... ;o)))

  8. The thought of laying eggs? Nah, not me, I'm afraid - I don't like any belly/stomach stuff. I wouldn't make a good hen. Or rooster. If I was a yardbird? I'd be a little chick in the corner, shaking nervously at the thought of the world beyond the fence.

  9. We all are. I had 176 posts in my reader yesterday. No way I could comment on all of them. Just you do your laundry and don't worry about it. (That sounded so "don't worry your pretty little head about it" which I didn't mean, but now I'm leaving it because that cracks me up.)

  15. Do what you need to do...and if I had a grandbaby I would be laughing and on the floor with the pots and pans banging them loudly.

    A new play? Exciting!
