Clean Floors

I love the way my kitchen floor feels when I have mopped it. It's almost like clean sheets for the feet.
I should probably do it more often than, oh, once in a blue moon.
You think?

  1. With having a brand new 3 year old and a soon to be 5 year old, I should wash my floors more frequently, but Friday is as often as I can get to it...last Friday, didn't get done.....

  2. Ahhhh....those old floors are beautiful. We have wide pine throughout but not heart pine. Lovely wood.

  3. So true! Every time I get on my hands and knees and really clean the wood floors, I make everybody go in stockingfeet for at least a week. EVERYBODY, even my landlord and workmen. And if their socks are not clean, they cannot come in.

I'm really a cleanliness tyrant, I realize. Hm ... perhaps why I never felt the need to have my own children? :)

  5. Rebecca- Once a week would be awesome and I should too for Owen.

Syd- All the floors in this house are heart pine but those in the kitchen are newish.

Nola- Hands and knees? Lord, child. You ARE clean.

Notjustafemme- I don't really mind doing it, it's just not real high on the priority list. But isn't it nice when it's done?

  7. I don't like to mop, but I do it because I prefer the feel of a clean floor on my feet. These look lovely clean and the O'boy can scoot around to his hearts delight. Smile. N2

  8. "Clean sheets for the feet" -- yes! My tile floors feel the same way when clean. I could dance on them all day.

  9. I NEVER clean my floors, except for the kitchen. Was I supposed to?

  10. So funny - once a week. For me, it's once for every big party. With two kids' birthdays and a couple of other occasions, that would bring us to about four times a year. Woops. But hey - I read that it's good for the immune system of the children. I'll have to do it a bit more when I have a crawler around again though.

    Lovely floor!

  11. There's some saying about clean floors and/or drapes. Luckily for me, I don't know it well enough to continue the joke; I think it's dirty.

  12. Oh, this was a pert little entry! You should see my kitchen floors. Shameful. I'm home today due to untoward circumstances and my floor is NUMBER 1 on my To Do list.

Bless your heart, Ms. Moon. Last night, I dreamt you were a goddess lying in a river of flowing honey that was your hair. So, I'm using that as my formal comment on cutting your hair. Where would we be without rivers of goddess honey?
