And How Neurotic Does This Post Prove I Am?

Hey, y'all. As we say here in the south. Really. We do say that.

Anyway, hey, y'all. I'm tired. It's been a long day (but a good one) and I think I might be getting that cold-lite that's been going around here. I don't feel too bad but I don't feel real great and I just don't think I have it in me to answer comments tonight. That feels so wrong to me. I can't help but feel guilty about not answering each and every of you because you came here and you read what I wrote and you left such sweet comments. But I just don't have it in me tonight.

And I don't think I have it in me to comment on any of yours.

No. The world is not coming to an end. I have just come to the end of my day. I need to go wash the dishes and put away the soup (yes, I made soup AGAIN and guess what? I made too much AGAIN) and I want to go get in bed and read a book. I'm not depressed or upset or even really sick. I'm just tired.
Or, as we say down here in the south, taared. And I, too, need to take care of myself now and then so I'm going to go get in my PJ's, crawl into my Pack'n'Play and rest.

So forgive me my sin of omission and know that I love and appreciate each and every one of you and I'll be back tomorrow with energy intact.

And by the way- Owen has cut TWO teeth. He's so obviously advanced for his age, isn't he?

Sleep well, y'all. I hope for you sweet dreams. Each and every one of you.

Night-night.

  1. your last post really spoke to me. it is mind boggling how much difference a little care and consideration and mutual respect can go and how many positive ways this can touch the lives of others....

  2. TWO teeth, wow, VERY advanced.
Of course, go to bed dear woman.
You can't always be on top of everything, taking care of your real family, your blogging family, your animals, plants, soup, and you. You've got to take care of you for sure. No worries. Go easy. Rest up, night night.

  3. And anyway, you just spoke to us all right here. That's an unexpected treat. And that is more than enough.

  5. Oh wait, you KNOW you're neurotic, to worry of this. I forgot to read the title. Oh good.
But what about me? What am I then, still here? I need to go to bed. Ramped up from exercising too late. And you're the only blog open!

  6. Don't let the bed-bugs bite...

Such a sweet little thing to say until you see those jokers. Thankfully, I've only ever seen them on TV.

    How about....just sleep tight!

  7. I don't know--you posted on my blog after you wrote this, so I think you might not be so taard after all. Or, as my people say, dog-tired.

I am tired, thats for sure. So many heartaches for my days right now--you know what about. Gut-wrenching stuff. I may need to come get some of that leftover soup :)

  8. Oh, tell me about it. I haven't had the energy to read blogs, let alone comment. Isn't it funny how the seasons are at work on people? Maybe blogging is more of a non-winter thing.

I hope you get some rest. I'm going for a nap soon as well.

  10. That is an Ugly Doll, Danielle. They even have a web site now http://shop.uglydolls.com/home/index/322.0.1.1
I bought one of the tiny ones already for attaching to the stroller for my grandbaby to come, due end of March.

Yep, first grandbaby comin up. Maybe that is why this little Owen always tugs at the heart strings. Of course he is cute as a bug and advanced and all. Two teeth! and he looks like he is getting ready to do a few sit ups.

  11. I know this is the wrong post, but the line, "this love Mr. Moon and I have for each other has led to this boy" was wonderfully powerful. Finally caught up now, can't believe I got so far behind. Hope you got the rest you needed last night.

  12. dear ms. moon,
you are becoming a regular truck stop on my morning highway of life. there is comfort here, southern sensibility and for goodness sake new teeth. something i have not thought of for some time.
and there is intimacy, kindness and well, chickens.
morning food for the soul if you were to ask me.
hope this day finds you rested and ready for more.

  14. Two teeth!? Very advanced.

My kids were all late teethers. Rose was over a year old...Olivia and Elijah were my youngest teethers at 10 months.

    Weird, I know.

  15. I hope you got some rest! Two teeth is remarkable and Owen is definitely advanced for his age. He will be chowing down on regular food before you know it!

  17. Miss A- It's true.

Bethany- I slept SO well. Thank-you.

Michelle- A marvel. I do so love that word. It's right up there with "splendid."

Aunt Becky- I love you too.

    Ms. Trouble- I did.

Angie- For once, I barely remember them, those dreams.

SJ- There is PLENTY of soup for you and a cozy shoulder to cry on.

    Angie- Thank-you.

Mwa- Naps are sacred. Sleep is blessed.

Danielle- An ugly deer. That's what it's called - An Ugly Doll. Isn't it lovely? Ms. Fleur gave it to Owen.

N2- Thanks for the link. And he had just woken up and was all smiles with his arms over his head like that.

    Ginger- I did!

Rebecca- I'm so glad you like stopping by. Thank-you, dear.

DTG- That's what Ms. Bastard just said- that it's been a very long week. It's gone fast for me. I don't know why.

Erin- Downtown Guy got his first teeth at four months. Owen will be sixteen weeks tomorrow.

Lois- He's already looking very interested at what goes into our mouths at mealtime.

    Ms. Bastard- I AM!

  18. I used to say y'all back in middle school or high school, but then I heard some comedian making fun of people who said y'all and it sort of scarred me. Now I say "all of you" or "you all".........

  19. Early teething is a sign of superior intelligence, dontcha' know?
Yes, if I only had a pack n' play in my office, I could crawl in and take naps during the day and not be so tarred at night.

  20. Rebecca- Fuck those people in middle school. We say y'all and that's that.

Lucy- I've heard that. I have theories...of course. A pack'n'play should come with every job.
