Although she is not spending the night, she did get to hang out for a little while. She is so smart. And so busy. She ate about a hundred soybeans and asked for her Boppa who was out in the garage approximately forty times.
We're about to eat our supper. I asked Owen what we should read tonight before bed.
"The same thing we always read," he said.
"
The Little Red Hen Makes A Pizza?" I asked.
"That just never gets old," he said. "And then Mr. Peep."

DeleteMy grandkids' go-to was 'Sleep Tight Elmo.' Our 13- and 16-year-old grandsons spent the night the other night. Though they don't ask me to read it to them anymore, I noticed they'd moved it and left it on top of the bookshelf in their room. It brought a tear to my eye.
ReplyDeleteOh my god! That's so precious. We probably don't realize the half of how much our grands cherish from days gone by. So sweet.
DeleteMy heart!
ReplyDeleteMy heart is getting really, really full these days.

ReplyDeleteAND very, very smart. A wicked combination.
DeleteI do enjoy the older grands but I do miss them little.
ReplyDeleteYes, I completely understand that. I'm glad we're getting a new baby soon. There's just nothing like a new one.
