Quack, Quack

Drizzly and chilly and I do not know what the ducks are talking about they seem to feel very strongly about whatever the topic of their conversation is.

Reminds me of the discourse on social media right now.

Well. Let's see where this day leads.

Let's all try to use our common sense and try (yes, even me) to respect the opinions of others, to listen, to try to understand, to be more compassionate and less judgemental.

Even if they are ass hats.

Love...Ms. Moon

  1. Good Morning! I'm with you on the respect thin. I'm sick of the rudeness people are tossing around right now.

  2. Here here. I'm finding the internet a bit of a tough place at the moment. This made me happy, though -http://www.bustle.com/articles/58435-tennessee-teen-bullied-about-her-prom-dress-gets-support-from-online-community-in-the-best-way?utm_source=FBTraffic&utm_medium=fijifrost&utm_campaign=CMfacebook

  3. I posted this morning "If I swear up and down that my cats have their rabies shots, can we stop talking about vaccines?"

Then deleted it, because I was just being an asshole. But I am so sick of hearing about it. I just keep thinking of Elizabeth and how she probably feels sucker punched by it all, and all those other parents and children and people who just are too pained to chime in. I should just, oh, stop reading facebook or anything else for that matter, but well. That would be too simple.

  4. Be Good to One Another.

That is all we have to do.

  5. Respect is good. We are all in different circumstances with different histories and different experiences. Respect is good.

  6. Hahaha. I just used the term ass hat in my post.

  7. What exactly is an ass hat? And how many hats does an ass wear?

  8. Probably asses can wear quite a few hats, assuming they feature earholes.

  9. Jill- It's like we're all slathering to be RIGHT! When- actually- life is more filled with shades of gray (more than fifty!) than it is black or white.

    Jo- That is sweet.

SJ- You are exactly right- we, who have not had to experience what others have really need to keep our mouths shut. Because we do not know all of the realities.

LBags- Those ducks quack me up.

    ditchingthedog- Perfect. And perfectly true.

    Denise- It's a great word.

Elizabeth- I think it's the French word for asshole.

    A- You're probably right.

  10. I wish our camellias were that color. They haven't bloomed yet but I have the uncomfortable feeling (based on the look of the buds) that they're going to be just plain white.
