tony tested positive like 24 hours after i did. we bundled up and door dashed and basically got an extra week off at xmas and an excuse if we didn;t want to go places after our quarantine was over... i hope you both feel better soon and be careful driving xxalainaxx
Oh boy. I hope his case is mild and you continue to be on the mend. Paxlovid is great, and I definitely recommend (I didn't get it, but Rob and Dashiell did the first time they got Covid; the second time Rob got over it way faster than I did. I was basically a consumptive Victorian poet about the whole thing).
Well, this is a “vacation” that will be remembered! Wishing you better health, and safe travels if you’re still heading into the storm and a happy and uneventful welcome home.
37paddington: I knew Mr Moon would test positive eventually. What an unexpected vacation you’re having. I hope you get home without too much stress and also that you only get a bit of rain that is a melodic backdrop to necessary rest and sleep. Take care of each other you two. Take it slow for a bit. The exhaustion is often what lingers.
ah well, it was bound to happen. my sister in law texted yesterday asking after us. she is sick though she didn't say if it was covid. they left here last Tuesday but Marc and I are fine.
I was going to say "when it rains, it pours," but that's probably not the best expression to use at the moment. I hope your trip back is uneventful, but I'm sorry you have to leave Roseland under these circumstances. At least this doesn't look like a super-strong storm, but of course any hurricane is serious.
Ay yi yi. I am a bit of a smart ass, but all joking aside, may your cases be mild. At least you can sleep together.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry ... What a rotten turn of events! Who did you get it from ... there had to be someone who was contagious!

ReplyDeleteAs the veteran of a great many tropical storms/hurricanes, let me suggest you don’t try to push it, but keep your Covid selves in Roseland. Margaret
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Drive safe and I hope you are both feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteI hope he has the mildest of mild cases just like you have and hope both of you are fully recovered very soon.
ReplyDeleteI can absolutely understand your wanting to be back home but please be safe - both of you!

ReplyDeleteWTF, stay safe, stay calm, all will be well eventually.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. Well, I suppose it's inevitable. I hope you both get well soon. And stay safe in the storm.

ReplyDeleteOh no, it just keeps piling on, Mary. Whether you stay in Roseland or head home, I hope you both stay safe and feel better. xxoo

ReplyDeleteSending good vibes for physical healing for both of you and may the storm leave you and yours alone.
ReplyDeleteI guess it was always a strong likelihood that you both eventually test positive. Rest and take care. Hopefully the storm weakens and passes quickly.
ReplyDeleteI hate to hear this. I hope you're both having mild symptoms and made it home today with minimal trouble. Take care!
ReplyDeleteAck! Hard to top this birthday - the gift that keeps on giving! I hope you're safe at home by now and that Glen's case is only a mild inconvenience.
