What's It All Mean, Mr. Natural? Part 61

Good Lord! What did Mick Jagger SAY about Prairie Home Companion?
Garrison was pissed the fuck off.

Anyone know?

Okay. Hello. I've spent the entire day doing stuff.
Yep. That's pretty much how it's been.
Doing stuff like cleaning out closets, sweeping porches, watering plants, feeding cantaloupe to chickens, re-potting begonias, mushrooms, making Irish soda bread.

Yep. You read it right. I "did" some mushrooms. Here's what I've learned:

Ants and mosquitoes really do piss me off when they bite me.
I love my plants and I love my chickens and I love where I live although a swimming pool would be really nice.

I am who I am.
Can't be anyone else.

How fucking profound is that?

It's all I've got. I don't know whether this is really sad or really great. But it is what it is.

Love... Popeye, aka, Ms. Moon

  1. I find Garrison Keilor's voice to be the most grating sound in the universe. Whatever Mick said, he did it for me.

  3. NOLA- And I find it so soothing. We are all different.

Birdie- Well, you know- sometimes one gets desperate to try anything to rewire the brain into a better configuration. Studies show...
    Etc.
It wasn't much of a dose and I'm not sure that I'd do it again but I don't regret having done it.

  4. I'm exhausted reading that list!

So how did the mushrooms FEEL?

  5. I want to know what he said! GK must be respected. Mick Jagger is so up himself. I have none of your devotion to him, I confess.

Did you really do mushrooms? I never have, despite the fact that they grow locally and my brother knows their secrets. It seems stupid that I haven't. No one ever offered, and I'm wimpish about nausea so I never sought them out.

You made soda bread! Was that cos of me? You have to find some Kerrygold butter to go with it, and rasperry jam, and think of me :)

  6. Oh, pools - I would soooo love one of these... but maybe in Florida it would just be a mosquito breeding ground and you need the chlorine.

I'd like a pool more than any other luxury feature :)

  7. Angella- Familiar.

Jo- Honey, my devotion is to Keith. Mick is entirely a different beast. No. I did not make soda bread because of you. I'm sorry. I've been making it for years. I served it with Publix whipped butter and honey. It was so delicious. We had a pool at the last house we lived in. It was incredibly beautiful but I love this home more, even without one. I would love it more with one.

  8. Everywhere would be better with a pool. Fact of life. Also bread and butter and honey :)
